By the end of this course, the PhD students shall be able to 

  1. Develop the skills, tools, and confidence on sustainable bio-risk management.
  2. To enable them to apply principles of biosafety and biosecurity in facilities.
  3. To reduce/eliminate the risk of infection in laboratory setting

By the end of this course, the Ph.D. students should be able to;

1. Present and communicate research articles/research data in conferences and symposia

2. Critically analyze data, design a project and write up research proposals. Design experiments in the field of biological sciences.

3. Collect information from the available resources and get expertise in the systematic literature review.

4. Prepare a presentation on a given topic, Deliver a lecture and manage a question-answer session.

5. Work as a productive member of a task force in an academic and research environment


Upon completion of course the students will be able to:

1.              Understand variation in data and describe measure of centrality and dispersion. 

2.              Use hypothesis testing using various statistical tests.

3.              Able to use appropriate statistical tests/methods for data analysis

4.              Understand and use various effect sizes in medical research. 

5.          Use SPSS for data analysis


Upon completion of course the students will be able to:

1.              Comprehend basics of research in light of the modern ethics

2.              Comprehend basic knowledge of the ethical issues in biomedical research

3.              Select and design research project and critically analyze and communicate scientific data

4.              Analyze literature critically and comprehend the foundations of Bioethics theories

5.              how to deal with patients within the boundaries of biomedical ethics

6.              how to improve the basic health care services on ethical grounds

1.Comprehend in details the cell structure and organization

2.Demonstrate the methods of DNA replication, transcription, protein synthesis and enzymology

3.Discuss the molecular genetics of like DNA recombination, gene structure, function and regulation as well as cell signaling pathways and cancer

4.Have expertise in molecular cloning and molecular tools for studying genes and gene activity
