KMU Organize Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ Conference

A graceful Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ Conference was organized at Khyber Medical University (KMU), Peshawar, in connection with the celebrations of Ashra Rehmat-ul-Lil-Alameen. The conference was presided over by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Zia Ul Haq, as the chief guest. The event was jointly arranged by the Directorate of Sports and the Institute of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (IPM&R) students.

The conference was attended by renowned religious scholar Maulana Muhammad Hassan (Faculty of Judicial Academy & IM Sciences Peshawar), Prof. Dr. Maulana Abdul Ghafoor (Member Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee and eminent scholar), Director Sports Nasir Saleem Arab, Director IPM&R Dr. Irfanullah, faculty members, administrative staff, and a large number of students.

In his keynote address, Maulana Muhammad Hassan stated that the life of the Holy Prophet ﷺ is a guiding light for the entire humanity. He said that the Prophet ﷺ laid the foundation of a society based on justice, equality, and service to mankind, eradicating social injustices, oppression, ignorance, and racial discrimination. He emphasized that the Prophet ﷺ declared that no Arab has superiority over a non-Arab, and no white over a black, except through piety and righteousness. He urged students to adopt truthfulness, honesty, sacrifice, and service to humanity in their personal and professional lives, as these are the true messages of the Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ.

Addressing the gathering, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zia Ul Haq said that the life of the Holy Prophet ﷺ is a complete code of life and a universal source of guidance for all mankind. He added that the Prophet’s teachings of mercy, equality, justice, and service to humanity provide the foundation for building a peaceful and prosperous society. He reaffirmed that KMU will continue organizing such academic, social, and cultural events to acquaint students with the universal message of the Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ. He further appreciated the Directorate of Sports and IPM&R students for successfully organizing this purposeful event, stating that such activities play a vital role in character building and instilling Islamic values among students.

On the occasion, Prof. Dr. Maulana Abdul Ghafoor and other speakers also highlighted various aspects of the Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ. Heartfelt Naat recitations further enhanced the spiritual atmosphere of the conference.

A Quiz and Poster Competition were also held during the event, in which Bushra Sultan, Ubaidullah, Anas, Hafiza Muqaddas, Muhammad Usman, Muhammad Zaid, Muhammad Osama, Zunaira Fatima, and Kamran Shoaib secured prominent positions. In the closing ceremony, the chief guest, distributed prizes among the speakers, Naat reciters, and the winning students of the quiz and poster competitions.
