Two PhD scholars of Khyber Medical University (KMU) Peshawar

Two PhD scholars of Khyber Medical University (KMU) Peshawar Institute of Basic Medical Sciences namely Dr. Nabila Sher Mohammad and Dr. Kulsoom Tariq have successfully defended their PhD thesis in a public defense held here at multipurpose hall.

The topic of Dr. Nabila Sher Mohammad thesis was "Effects of Nutrional Supplementation on Cardio-Metabolic Biomarkers of Under-Weight Pre-Eclamptic Women; A Randomized Control Trial". Dr. Nabila Sher Mohammad supervisor was Prof. Dr. Robina Nazli, while her external examiner was Prof. Dr. Mudassar Ahmad Khan and internal examiner was Dr. Ehtsham.

Similarly, Dr. Kulsoom Tariq successfully defended her PhD defense in Biochemistry under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr. Sadia Fatima. The topic of her thesis was "Effects of High Energy Nutritional Supplementation on Appetite Regulators, Energy intake and Lipid Profile in Underweight Primigravida".

Dr. Kulsoom Tariq external examiner was Prof. Dr. Ubaidur Rahman and internal examiner was Dr. Ehtisham. It is worth mentioning that the department of Biochemistry of KMU-IBMS has produced six PhDs so far and this is an honor and privilege for the head Prof. Dr. Rubina Nazli and her team.
