Finance & Planning Committee 28th meeting held at KMU

The Finance & Planning Committee (F&PC) 28th meeting of Khyber Medical University (KMU), Peshawar was held on 19.05.2022. The vice chancellor Prof. Dr. Zia ul Haq chaired the meeting while other attendees were Prof. Dr. Saleem Gandapur Registrar KMU, Mr. Waseem Riaz Treasurer KMU, Prof. Dr. Jawad Ahmad dean basic medical sciences, Prof. Dr. Mussarat Jabeen Principal KIMS Kohat, Mr. Javed Iqbal Dy Secretary HED, Mr. Zarak Khan BO Finance Deptt, Dr. Hafiz Abdul Salam, Mr. Amjad Hussain director P&D KMU and Mr. Usman Iqbal Dy Treasurer KMU.

In the meeting minutes of 27th F&PC has been confirmed unanimously. In the said meeting forum discussed the budget thoroughly and appreciated the fund management of KMU for having surplus budget for the year 2022-23 and recommended both revised estimates 2021-22 worth Rs. 220.158 million and Rs. 247.472 million surplus budget estimates for 2022-23 to KMU Syndicate.

 The F&PC principally agreed with the agenda item pertaining to Contributory Provident Fund Statutes, 2013 (revised 2022) and further recommended it to KMU Syndicate for thorough discussion.

Keeping in view the rise rate of inflation & to retain qualified faculty, the revise fixed pay packages  in accordance with the prevailing market situation, for the employees (both admin & faculty staff from BPS-01 to BPS-21) to be hired/working on contract/contingent basis was also recommended to KMU Syndicate. In addition to the routine agenda items four supplementary agenda items were also discussed in detail and decisions were taken accordingly. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by the chair.
