KMU Signed MOU With KCD

Khyber Medical University (KMU) has entered a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Khyber College of Dentistry, whereby both the institutions will share their expertise and facilities to enhance research and teaching in various basic dental science fields. The MOU signing ceremony was held at the Vice Chancellor’s secretariat in KMU, where the VC KMU Prof. Arshad Javaid and the Dean KCD, Prof. Ghulam Rasool signed the MOU in the presence of faculty members and administrative staff on 11th September 2018. 

During the ceremony, the VC KMU reiterated KMU’s commitment to furthering the cause of medical research, and strengthening of academic programs in the field of health sciences in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He also thanked the Dean KCD for his untiring efforts in establishing strong academic and research linkages the province’s premier dental college and the KMU. The VC KMU highlighted that KMU is the custodian of all health-related academic and research activities in the KP and as such will do its utmost to strengthen the sister medical and dental institutions of the province.

On the role of KMU as a leader for medical education and research, the VC KMU said that as a leader our focus now lies predominantly on strengthening the different health professional academic programs through quality enhancement. The VC KMU further added that unless our institutions make virtues like transparency, intellectual honesty, and dedication as a mainstay into how we run and deliver educational programmes, we would not be able to take the next step in our progression to world-class institutions.
