KMU bids farewell to Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Arshad Javaid
A farewell meeting was arranged at kmu in the honour of out going vice chancellor,Prof: Dr Arshad Javaid,on 14th July 2020 in the senate Hall. Mr Kahalil ur Rehman,Special advisor to Chief Minister for Higher Education was the chief guest. Besides outgoing VC,two ex VCs of KMU Prof Dr Muhammad Daud Khan and Prof Dr Hafeez ullah ,Pro VC Prof Dr Zia ul Haq, Registrar Prof Dr Muhammad Saleem Gandapur,elected members of KMU Syndicate,and all the Heads of constituent teaching institutions and administrative sections were present.
The Registrar and Pro VC paid tribute to the outgoing VC for his services and wished him all the best for his future endeavors.
The Ex VCs threw light on the evolution of KMU in the short span of thirteen years , starting from scratch to one of the leading medical universities of Pakistan. They admired the Acting VC Prof Dr Zia ul Haq for his leadership qualities and showed their confidence that prof Ziaul Haq will take the University to new heights in the fields of academics and research.
Chief Guest lauded the leading role of KMU in health care delivery in the province , specially in the current Covid 19 pandemic in doing the record number of tests.
The out going VC thanked the Chief guest and all the participants. He said all his achievements as VC were due to combined efforts of the faculty and administration of KMU and he will always be there to offer his services for kmu in the hour of need.
