Pak-Austria Institute would provide support to KMU in digitization
The IT team consisting of IT in-charge Ali Raza and Jalil Raza Bhatti of Pak-Austria Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology Haripur visited Khyber Medical University (KMU) Peshawar and gave a detailed presentation to the participants regarding their IT setup.
During the presentation, they gave details of thier state-of-the-art data center set up at the Pak-Austria Institute, which includes high-speed computing servers, security systems, smart classrooms, and several software modules including CMS, ERP, and LMS. The Pak-Austria team discussed various software related to student information system, accounting system and examination system.
After a detailed discussion, the KMU vice chancellor Prof. Dr. Zia ul Haq said that KMU Deputy Director IT Imtiaz Ali will supervise the ongoing digitalization process in KMU and for the said purpose he will select a team and will visit Pak-Austria Institute for a detailed review of the setup and present a workable plan to KMU as to how we can implement this system in our university.
Prof. Dr. Zia ul Haq assured the full cooperation of the KMU administration and the Minister of Science and Technology that whatever financial resources are required for the implementation of this project will be provided on any cost. He said that our primary focus is on digitalization of all departments of KMU so that the process can be made transparent and efficient. The vice chancellor thanked the Pak-Austria IT team under the leadership of Mr. Ali Raza and expressed hope that both institutions will not only learn from each other's experiences but both institutions will continue to support each other in the future to achieve the target goal in the wider interest of both the institutions.
