Ph.D Defense held at KMU-IBMS

Ph.D defense of Dr. Shakir Ullah was held in Khyber Medical University (KMU) Institute of Basic Medical Sciences at multipurpose hall. He has worked on epilepsy management in the context of pharmacogenetics and pharmacokinetics in targeted epileptic patients. Prof. Dr. Shafiq Ahmad Tariq Pharmacology Department KMU-IBMS was his internal examiner where as Prof. Dr. Jamshid Principal Azad Jammu & Kashmir Medical College, Muzaffarabad and Assistant Prof. Dr Muhammad Shoaib Pharmacology Department University of Malakand were his external examiners.

Dr. Shakir Ullah defended well his thesis and viva. It is worth mentioning that he is the first Ph.D in Pharmacology from KMU-IBMS. His work will benefit the clinician in personalized medicine while prescribing carbamazapine. Professor Dr. Niaz Ali was his supervisor who has proven track record in the field of Pharmacology.
