PMC National licensing Examination at KMU
As per the policy of PMC Islamabad with the approval of the Govt of Pakistan, NLE Exam is National Licensing Exam for Medical Students graduated from Pakistan or Foreign, in order to get National License for Job or Practice. Every Pakistani Medical Student graduated after January 2021 have to appear in NLE Exam. It will be conducted up to 4 times every year and minimum 70% marks will be required to qualify it.
PMC has started these NLE practical exam at KP in collaboration with Khyber Medical University (KMU). In first phase total of 308 candidates appeared over 3 days. We are examining 4 circuits every day from 8am till 6pm, and compiling and submitting the results on the same day after the exam.
We are running 26 stations in each circuit, examining 52 candidates in the morning and 52 in the afternoon. All our examiners are minimum of assistant professors and Senior registrar level. PMC staff are on site supervising and monitoring the exam and exams are monitored by KMU CCTV under the COVID sops. Infrastructure, admin and exam support is provided by KMU including simulated patients and invigilators, examiners are selected via secrecy by PMC.
PMC in collaboration with KMU have successfully conducted the first phase of exam under strict examination rules and will continue in the future, insha’ALLAH.
