Prof Dr.Zia Ul Haq resumes charge as Vice Chancellor of KMU

Prof Dr. Zia Ul Haq Acting Vice Chancellor Khyber Medical University took charge as new Vice Chancellor of the Khyber Medical University (KMU), Peshawar.  The post before this  had fallen vacant after Prof Dr. Arshad Javed relinquished the position after completing his  tenure. It is pertinent to mention that Prof. Dr. Zia Ul haq is a senior and pioneer faculty member  and  had remained Dean of Public Health & Socail Sciences. Presently he was working as Acting Vice Chancellor of Khyber Medical University.

He graduated from Khyber Medical College Peshawar and did his post-graduation and specialized training from the university of Glassgow, UK.

After taking charge as VC KMU, Prof. Dr. Zia Ul Haq chairing a high level meeting at KMU said that he will let no stone unturned to work hard with team spirit. He said KMU was a prestigious medical institute and in 13 years it achieved a lot in various neglected medical and allied health fields. Prof. Dr Zia Ul Haq lauded the KMU achievements and assured that development of medical and related programs as a comprehensive approach will be his utmost mission and target during his tenure.   He said, “It will provide mean ample opportunity to make a rapid contribution in terms of providing academic stewardship, leading pioneering research and driving quality across all the institutions of KMU".
