Special Assistant to CM on Minorities Affairs meets VC KMU (8th July, 2021)
Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Minority Affairs Wazirzada and MPA Ravi Kumar met with Dr. Zia-ul-Haq, Vice Chancellor Khyber Medical University (KMU), Peshawar regarding minority admission quota in various disciplines of medical and allied health sciences.
The meeting was also attended by Director Admission, Director P&D, Director Nursing, Director Paramedics and other concerned officials of KMU.
While talking at the occasion Special Assistant for Minority Affairs Wazirzada said that minority quota in KMU constituent institutes would provide better opportunities for professional and higher education to the students of minority community. Minority students in the medical field will go ahead and serve the country and the nation as well as their community.
The meeting decided that 12 seats would be allocated for minority community members in 12 disciplines of paramedics. It was also decided that two percent quota would be allocated for minorities in Nursing, Public Health and Physiotherapy. The meeting decided that University would materialize the decision of provincial government regarding minority quota in MBBS and BDS.
