Three days International Conference on Medical Education begins at KMU
Three days International Conference on Medical Education organized Khyber Medical University (KMU) begins at KMU phase-V Hayatabad, Peshawar. The theme of the conference is “Curriculum Innovation: Global and Local Trends”.
It is pertinent to mention that the first day of the three days international moot was fixed for pre-conference workshops and in this connection on first day in morning and evening two sessions were held in which experts and researchers presented their presentations and research papers on 32 different topics. According to details in the pre-conference workshops experts from UK, Australia, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia as well as Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad talked to the workshops.
Meanwhile talking to the workshops facilitators, participants and organizers VC KMU Prof. Dr. Mohammad Hafizullah said holding of 32 research workshops on different topics under one roof was a unique idea and opportunity for the faculty and medical fraternity of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said the interest of the participants greatly impressed him and the participatory role of the participants shows that if opportunity can provide to the faculty and experts they can not only able to conduct research but they are also capable to compete with the faculty and researchers of other parts of the country.
Prof. Dr. Mohammad Hafizullah said due to the importance of reforms in the Medical Education it is the need of the hour to bring radical changes in the overall structure and curriculum of the medical education system according to the modern techniques. He thanked the participantsespecially those participated from abroad and other parts of the country for attending the conference. He hoped that results of the workshops and conference would be used in the better interest of the general public in the shape of reforms in medical education. According to a press release issued by media section of KMU the formal inaugural ceremony of the said three days medical education conference will be held today on Saturday 9:00 AM at Multi Purposes Hall.
