I have worked as gynecologist, academician and researcher from last 28 years. Now, recently I am appointed as Dean, Basic Medical Sciences, Khyber Medical University.

My research is mainly focused on Nutritional Biochemistry specifically on the deficiency of micronutrients and its supplementation. My specialization lies in the treatments associated with diabetes and pre-eclampsia. I have supervised M. Phil and PhD scholars under the umbrella of the mentioned fields. Beside this, I worked as a principle investigator of different research projects with collaboration with University of Central Lancashire and Brown University.

My aim is to provide a better teaching and learning environment to students as well as faculty. Along with that I am trying to provide better laboratory practices for research students to promote research culture. I have organized Biochemistry Research symposium-2019, KMU to facilitate biochemical perspective in medical sciences along with multiple workshops related to clinical biochemical techniques. As an academician I ensure my own professional development and tried to inculcate the same among my scholars. I regularly publish my research work in national and international journals. My priority is to make Khyber Medical University one of the best university of the world.

The latest programs to be started within this year is FCPS Biochemistry.
