Khyber Medical University Peshawar has announced the result of the most successful MDCAT Test in the history of Pakistan held on 26th November, 2023

Overall, 6 candidates secured first position and obtained 192 marks, 3 secured second position, obtained 191 marks, while 2 candidates secured third position by securing 190 marks in MDCAT test.

Khyber Medical University (KMU) Peshawar has announced the result of Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2023. Out of the total 46218 registered candidates, 34852 (75%) students appeared in the test.  According to the details, Taimur Iqbal, Anam Khan, Aman Ullah, Muhammad Mutaal Azeem, Muhmmad Asim Ayaz and Haseeb Khan secured first position each with 192 marks, Munneba Hassan, Sangeen Khan and Zain Abid secured 2nd position with 191 marks and Mussadiq Anwar and Muqtasid Khan got third position with 190 marks. Mansoor Ali Khan has secured 189 marks in the MDCAT test. 

The MDCAT test was held in 11 examination centers in seven regions of the province. It is noteworthy that the MDCAT exam has a total of 200 marks and obtaining minimum marks of 110 and 100 for MBBS and BDS respectively are mandatory for the eligibility of admission. In the current test total of 21206 (61%) candidates passed the test for MBBS admission and 24283 (70%) for BDS.

Prof. Dr. Zia Ul Haq VC KMU congratulated the successful students and said that these youngsters are the pride of the nation. He appreciated the well-coordinated efforts between the KMU, provincial government and security agencies from conception to execution, ensuring 100% transparency and merit. He appreciated the role of late Ex Acting CM Mohammad Azam Khan for his keen interest and supervision of the planning process. The same was then continued by the current Acting CM Justice (R) Syed Arshad Hussain Shah, Governor Haji Ghulam Ali, Chief Secretary, IGP, Advisor to Health Dr Riaz Anwar, ACS home, Law enforcement agencies, Divisional commissioners, DC, VCs and Medical Colleges Dean for incredible support. ACS Home Mr Abid Majeed had the whole operation from the Government side and provided incredible support. The KMU staff showed fantastic leadership skills in their assigned role in an incredible way. Dr Zia also appreciated the positive role of print and electronic Media and parents.
