KMU-IPDM Organize Seminar on "Errors in the Lab: Enhancing Diagnostic Accuracy"

The Khyber Medical University (KMU) Institute of Pathology and Diagnostic Medicine (IPDM) organized an enlightening seminar on "Errors in the Lab" to address the crucial aspect of diagnostic accuracy. The event brought together renowned experts to share insights on minimizing errors and optimizing laboratory practices.

 Prof. Dr. Yasir Yousafzai, Director IPDM, warmly welcomed participants and introduced the seminar's objective. Dr. Suleman Alvi, Country Director, Martin Dow Specialties, graced the occasion as the chief guest.

Mr. Anas Alam delivered a comprehensive lecture, highlighting common pitfalls and strategies for mitigation. Dr. Naveed Sharif, HoD and Assistant Professor, IPDM, shared expertise on minimizing errors during laboratory analysis. Dr. Ibad, Assistant Professor, BMC, discussed the importance of accurate result interpretation and reporting.

At the end of the seminar Dr. Taj Ali, Associate Professor, provided a thought-provoking conclusion, emphasizing the significance of collaborative efforts in ensuring diagnostic excellence. Later on the Martin Dow team visited KMU General Hospital, PHRL Labs, and KMU ORIC, meeting with the ORIC team to discuss potential collaboration and a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with KMU.
