Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Regional Blood Center organized blood collection camp at Khyber Medical University (KMU) Peshawar, in which faculty members, students and Prof Dr. Zia Ul Haq Vice Chancellor Khyber Medical University participated and donated blood. On this occasion, Vice Chancellor KMU Prof Dr. Zia Ul Haq said that serving the society and the needy is the hallmark of every Muslim and society. He said that he has been donating blood continuously every four months for the last eighteen years and feels proud to participate in this service. He said that there is no harm in donating blood. He emphasized that he requested all the youth to actively participate in blood donation. Before donating blood, the organizers will conduct necessary blood screening tests like Hepatitis, HCV, Malaria etc in the camp which will also assess your health to make sure you are healthy. He highlighted that the lives of needy people can also be saved through this good practice. He emphasized that it is our Islamic and social responsibility and recognition to help each other. There are many people who are in dire need of blood in an emergency and there are also people who need blood frequently. Therefore, all young people accept their national responsibility and donate blood.
In his concluding remarks, Dr. Zia Ul Haq urged all members of the community, especially the youth, to accept their national responsibility by contributing to this noble cause through collective efforts, he affirmed, lives can be saved of those in need.
The blood collection camp highlighted the importance of unity in addressing critical healthcare needs within the community, which left a lasting impression on all participants.
