Minister of Science and Technology Visits KMU, Commends KMU Digitization Efforts

he Minister of Science and Technology and Information Technology, Mr. Khalid Latif Khan, embarked on a significant visit to Khyber Medical University (KMU) Peshawar. His arrival was met with warm welcomes from KMU Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Zia Ul Haque, and KMU Registrar Mr. Inam Ullah Khan Wazir. During his insightful tour, the Honorable Minister took a surprise detour to the smart digitized classrooms at KMU, where he received a comprehensive briefing from VC KMU about the university's pioneering digitization initiatives.

Highlighting various facets of KMU's digitization endeavors, including the e-admission process, e-examination system, and finance system, the VC showcased the university's journey towards becoming a fully E-office system, a groundbreaking achievement making KMU a paperless university in Pakistan. Praising these efforts, the Minister expressed optimism in the support from the KP Government and the Ministry of Information and Technology, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, towards further digital integration across the province.

Moreover, the Minister lauded KMU's financial independence and its dedication to efficient management practices, underscoring the university's commitment to excellence. A detailed presentation by Additional Director Muhammad Sohail Khan showcased various milestones in KMU's digitization journey.

In addition to engaging with university authorities, the Minister convened with Heads of Departments (HoDs) of KMU, addressing diverse academic and administrative matters. VC KMU Prof. Dr. Zia and his team extended their gratitude to the Honorable Minister for his visit, acknowledging his unwavering support and encouragement in advancing KMU's digitization endeavors.
