Objectives

Student will be able to;

2. Discuss various steps of conducting research Perform appropriate literature search from various sources.

3. Conduct and write high quality research articles.

4. Apply various methods of statistical analysis correctly to analyze data.

5. Perform evidence based analysis of educational issues;

6. Write project reports and disseminate findings in the form of reports and research articles.

7. Critically appraise research.

8. Discuss all the principles of ethics in health education.

9. Apply principles of ethics and also teach them to students

10. Discuss various principles of professionalism.

11. Apply principles of professionalism and teach them to students. 

  • The student will be able to;

    • Apply the various leadership competencies.
    • Apply different coaching skills and understand coaching process.
    • Develop and manage effective teams and act as a leader.
    • Develop and present a project plan by applying different planning tools,
    • Develop different cost control and quality control reports.
    • Assess, quantify and mitigate risks. 
    • Discuss and develop a Crisis Portfolio and prepare for a broad set of crisis and detect the early warning signals that precede all crises.
    • Apply global knowledge to identify local health professions education challenges and suggest innovative solutions;
    • Independently plan, establish and run medical education department, perform situation analysis, identify key educational issues and suggest effective solution at the institutional level;
    • Develop strategies, policies and procedures and produce strategic and operational plans for effectively running medical education system in an institute.

    • Perform administrative responsibilities related to assessment such as managing questions data bank, scanning of OMRs, calculating various assessment indices (e.g. Reliability index, discrimination index, difficulty index etc.) and develop assessment reports;
    • Powerful user of researcher and evidence as tools to improve the quality of assessment.
    • Discuss audit, quality and evaluation and their principles.
    • Develop an appropriate, reliable and feasible, audit and evaluation plan for various educational programs.
    • Develop program evaluation plan for different settings as in accreditation and recognition.
